When I started Slay Cancer, I promised myself I’d always be real — about the highs, the lows, and everything in between. But sometimes, life demands a pause.
The last year was one of reflection, healing, and redefining what “slaying” really means. I stepped back from posting, not because I stopped caring, but because I needed to reconnect with myself — with family, health, and faith.
I learned that healing isn’t linear. Some days, you feel strong and unstoppable. Other days, you need quiet, rest, and grace. Both are powerful. Both are part of the fight.
If you’ve ever taken a break — from work, advocacy, or even hope — I see you. Your stillness isn’t weakness. It’s strength in disguise.
As I return to sharing here on Slay Cancer, I do it with deeper purpose: to show that survival isn’t just about treatment. It’s about becoming whole again.
Here’s to pausing, healing, and coming back stronger.
